OPTICAL DONATES SUNGLASSES, March 19, 2003, St. Louis – The USO office in St. Louis,
Missouri reports that U.S. troops
stationed in Kuwait are in need of
personal items like sunglasses,
sunscreen, Kleenex and lip balm. Crown
Optical has organized thus far a
donation of over 1,000 pairs of
sunglasses for the soldiers. Sunglasses
and other items will be sent to Kuwait
as a part of the care packages put
together by the USO. In addition, Crown
Optical invites the public to contribute
items for the care packages by dropping
donations off at select Crown Optical
locations throughout the metropolitan
area this week. Items
requested include pocket packages of
Kleenex, travel-size bottles of hand
sanitizer, personal-size tubes of
sunscreen SPF 30 or higher, lip balm and
sunglasses. Please, only new, unopened
items. Donation bins will be at the
